FI hope my words meet you in high spirits. I will want to discuss something quite vital to entrepreneurs and it is equally important for our lives too. We cannot continue to debate the importance of factsheets to our businesses. Interestingly, it is akin to a lawyer’s case file and even a doctor’s medical record. For a current or prospective entrepreneur, there must be some handy documents that will be able to speak about the business. This is a compilation of various cogent facts that can showcase the brand to both internal and external stakeholders.
Many times, these contents are used in various ways such as on the website, brochure, and press kit. Fact file items include key organisation statistics, publications, management biographies, photos, press clippings, media lists, organisational charts, bylaws amongst others. We need factsheets for ourselves and our businesses. In fact, factsheets help us to be grateful to the Almighty God.
Fraser P. Seitel shows the importance of fact files in this quote, “Facts are the bricks and mortar of public relations work; no action can be taken unless the facts are known. Fact files items include key organisation statistics, publications, management biographies, photos, press clippings, media lists, organisational charts, bylaws. These documents should be stored and updated periodically.”
This week aim to get the factsheet together; clean it up and store it appropriately.
Do not wait until it is requested of you and you miss out on important details.
