Lagos is a place where every little opportunity must be maximized. This is the case of Ajiboye Street at Ketu-Alapere. This street serves dual to different set of people at different time of the day.
In the morning, this street is usually full of beggars who believes that people who are commuting to work would be benevolent unto them after praying unto God.
From the evening, traders usually come with their wares. Some of these traders stay in the community and some of them are wives of the police officers.
They trade for long till late in the night “rescuing” people who need some items for the night or early in the morning before setting out for the week.
However, the residents of Alapere Housing Estate that they trade but their entrance gate and the fence have made various attempts to stop these traders but they return when tension is doused.
Similarly, the place where they trade is not safe as impounded vehicles are parked around where they trade. The place is suceptible to auto crashes. Many of these traders keep hoping that one day, that would be able to pay for a stall in one of the neighbourhood market.
